The theory is simple: some hard selloffs eventually bounce. The danger is just as obvious: some hard selloffs keep falling because the market is pricing in real trouble.
Filter criteria
rsi < 30 AND price < ma200
Why these metrics matter
- RSI below 30 suggests recent selling pressure has been extreme.
- Price below MA200 suggests the stock is below its longer-term trend.
Together, they surface names that look weak enough to interest mean-reversion traders.
What this page is good for
- identifying washout candidates
- comparing the depth of technical damage across tickers
- building a research list for rebound setups
What it misses
- why the stock sold off
- whether earnings or balance-sheet issues justify the decline
- whether the chart is stabilizing or still deteriorating
This is the easiest strategy on the site to misuse if you treat the table as a buy list.
How to use it responsibly
Before acting on any name from this table, ask:
- Is the drop technical, fundamental, or both?
- Has the company recently reported bad news?
- Is the low RSI a temporary panic or part of a longer breakdown?
